THE FOUR DIRECTIONS OF RECONCILIATION
About the Author
Joey Podlubny has been a professional photojournalist for over 18 years. Working for news organizations, media outlets and NGO’s he has travelled extensively across Canada documenting communities, industrial projects, people, and cultures. His work has received numerous awards, locally/internationally and featured in art galleries and public art in Calgary Alberta. He self published “83 cents” a photographic journey through the lives of Calgary’s street people, a black and white photography book that documented the lives of hundreds of street people over five years. For the last five years he has dedicated much more time and resources to travelling and documenting First Nations communities in BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan learning the protocols, the languages, the cultures, and the lessons in hopes of breaking down barriers to understanding who we are and what reconciliation looks like after one sets their intentions that way.
